We are seeking like-minded individuals to join our team here at W Churchill & Bar Lafayette.

At W Churchill & Bar Lafayette, we pride ourselves on providing our guests with exceptional culinary experiences. As such, we are seeking a highly skilled and creative chefs & kitchen hands to help us continue delivering outstanding food.

The ideal candidate for a chef will have:

• Experience working in a professional kitchen, with a proven track record of creating delicious, high-quality dishes.

• A passion for cooking and a keen eye for detail.

• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining excellent standards of food preparation and presentation.

• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.

• A positive and professional attitude.

Responsibilities for a chef will include:

• Developing and preparing menu items.

• Ensuring that all food is prepared and presented to a high standard.

• Maintaining an organised and clean kitchen.

• Ordering and managing inventory of ingredients and supplies.

Responsibilities for a kitchen hand will include:

Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, preparing salads, and portioning ingredients.

Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, sanitising surfaces, and cleaning equipment.

Assist chefs during service by fetching ingredients, assembling dishes, and ensuring timely delivery to customers.

Handle basic kitchen duties such as stocking supplies, rotating inventory, and disposing of waste properly.

Follow food safety and hygiene standards to ensure a clean and safe working environment.

Collaborate with other kitchen staff to uphold quality standards and meet customer expectations.

Perform other duties as assigned by kitchen management.

Requirements for a kitchen hand:

Previous experience in a kitchen environment preferred but not required.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and willingness to learn new tasks.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects as needed.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
