About The Role:

Smoke Control Systems Pty Ltd is one of the leading manufacturing firms in Australia, we are an established Australian based ‘Passive Fire Protection’ company that designs, engineers, manufactures and installs specialty fire & smoke curtains, glazed fire & smoke doors and windows. We have been at the forefront in the execution of a wide array of fire protection projects for builders, governments, and large corporations.

Based in Sydney and servicing all of Australia & New Zealand, we currently have an opening in our Technical team for a Graduate Engineer to support our team across a number of channels.

Working closely with, and reporting to the Design Engineer you will:

Undertake research projects, collate, and report on data

Assist with modelling using SOLIDWORKS

Interpret and apply applicable codes, standards and regulations

Support with the design, development and testing of new products and improvements

Skills and experience (Essential):

Understanding of DFM concepts and processes

Experience with SOLIDWORKS or similar

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering

3 years prior experience in similar role/ industry

Skills and experience (Desirable):

Experience with wiring, soldering, PCB assembly, low voltage componentry, etc.

Understanding of manufacturing principles

This position would suit a recent graduate in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering, industry experience is not necessary however would be an advantage. Product training will be provided for the right candidate.
