Key accountabilities include:

Regularly review and adapt the Program including workstreams, initiatives, milestones, sequencing, timelines, KPIs to ensure it remains aligned with V/Line’s objectives and strategic priorities, internal and external operating environment changes, and is delivering on agreed benefits and outcomes

Collaborate with senior and executive leadership and key stakeholders to ensure the program receives appropriate operational support and that benefits can be effectively sustained Provide support and guidance to project and other program managers to ensure their individual initiatives align with the broader Transformation Program and contribute to overall program goals and benefits

About you

Reporting to the Chief Transformation Officer and working within the highly collaborative Transformation team, you’ll help shape the future of V/Line and ensure success across all facets of our transformative journey.

As our Transformation Program Manager, you will be central to our organisation-wide transformation efforts, ensuring strategic alignment, robust execution, and seamless delivery of projects that enhance our operations, systems, and workforce.

Note: This role leads an organisation-wide transformation program, encompassing all aspects of our business, with IT transformation forming just one part of the broader program.

Our ideal candidate will possess the following:

A track record of effectively managing complex programs and delivering on time, within budget.

The ability to design and implement transformative, long-term strategies that align seamlessly with organisational goals.

Highly refined communication skills, enabling you to craft impactful reports and deliver clear, concise presentations to diverse audiences.

Outstanding stakeholder management capabilities, with a talent for influencing and engaging at all levels of the organisation.

Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a results-driven mindset and a focus on achieving tangible outcomes.

Experience leading cross-functional, multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality results.

Demonstrated alignment with V/Line’s values of responsiveness, integrity, impartiality, accountability, respect, leadership and human rights.

Possessing Project Management or Change Management qualifications along with 10+ years of industry experience, especially within the Transport sector, will distinguish you as a standout candidate. However, these qualifications are not essential and shouldn't deter passionate applicants from seizing this opportunity.
