Competitive Salary $63,380.20 - $73,658.52 + 11.5%Superannuation p.a (Depending on experience & qualifications)

About the Role
As a Plant Operator Open Spaces, you'll report to the Team Leader Open Spaces and assist in maintaining Council’s parks and open space assets. In this role you will:
Operate a variety of plant and equipment including ride-on mowers, trucks, trailers, and other designated machinery
Carry out general park maintenance, such as pruning, gardening, and upkeep of open space parks and reserves
Perform manual labouring tasks as part of scheduled maintenance programs
Work collaboratively with your team to deliver both planned and reactive services to a high standard
Contribute to a strong workplace health and safety culture, identifying and managing risks in day-to-day operations
You’ll support the delivery of routine maintenance and contribute to the upkeep and presentation of public spaces across the region.

What you'll need to succeed (Essential Criteria)
Demonstrated experience in the safe operation of medium to large plant such as trucks and trailers commercial ride on mowers, tractors, small motorised and electric gardening equipment and machinery.
Demonstrated ability in the use of computer applications, and operating devices including iPad to facilitate day- to-day operations.
Ability to effectively communicate with key stakeholders in delivering information on operational and maintenance services.
Hold and maintain MR Drivers Licence and a White Card (WHS Induction Card)
Willingness to obtain Safe Handling of Sharps and ChemCert AQF III within 12 months of employment
Be willing to participate in a Pre-employment medical prior to commencement
