Pacific Day Surgery is a privately owned day surgery located in Fortitude Valley. We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented full- time CSSD Technician to join our dynamic team and help maintain our commitment to safety and excellence.

Job Summary:
As a CSSD Technician, you will be responsible for the decontamination, inspection, assembly, sterilization, storage, and distribution of surgical instruments and medical equipment in accordance with established infection control practices and hospital procedures (AS5369). Shift hours are 0900-1700 or 1000-1800 Monday- Friday

Key Responsibilities:

Clean, disinfect, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment.

Assemble and package instrument trays and surgical sets according to procedure requirements.

Operate and monitor autoclaves and other sterilization equipment.

Maintain accurate records of sterilization cycles, inventory, and equipment maintenance.

Ensure proper handling and storage of sterile items.

Adhere to infection control standards and safety protocols at all times.

Collaborate with surgical and clinical staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of sterile supplies.

Engage in quality initiatives

Qualifications:

Certificate in CSSD.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Good communication and organizational skills.

Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of infection control, sterilization techniques, and relevant standards.
