We are seeking an experienced professional with a flexible approach to join the Technical Services and Operations team in the position of Coordinator Asset and Transport Planning.
The role leads a small team, providing technical advice and managing the asset planning and traffic management functions for the organisation. You will be responsible for the strategic direction of these functions and responding to internal and external stakeholder queries.
To excel in this position, you will have qualifications in either Civil Engineering or Asset Management with demonstrated experience in similar roles preferably in Local Government. Leadership experience and strategic asset management is essential with some exposure to traffic management. Demonstrated skills in Microsoft Office suite are essential with experience using Computer Aided Drafting (CAD), Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and Asset Management software will be an advantage.
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills are a must, with the ability to interpret legislation and standards. You must be able to demonstrate a high level of professionalism and have strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills to drive strategic outcomes. Coordinating multiple tasks and projects within tight time frames is essential as is your ability to be autonomous and display a high level of sound judgement and proactivity.
This position is offered on a permanent full-time basis, classified at Level 8 under the City of Burnside Administration Employees Enterprise Agreement 2023. You will be required to undertake a National Police Check as part of the on-boarding process. You must have the right to live and work in Australia to apply for this position.
