We are in search of a talented Interior Designer, presenting an exciting opportunity to engage mostly in the workplace sector and advance professionally.

You will be responsible for delivering high-end commercial projects, focusing on interior design and documentation from concept to completion. The role will entail client-facing opportunities, requiring strong communication skills to collaborate with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to bring design visions to life.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Design and document high-quality interior designs in alignment with Oriol’s standards and specific project aspirations.

Prepare design development presentation and documentation, including preparing drawings, schedules, and specifications in accordance with the project Design Brief and ensure all items are fit for purpose.

Understand and incorporate client feedback into designs.

Ensure design implementation meets quality standards.

Keep up with design trends and industry developments.

Ensure that projects are delivered successfully on time and on budget, whilst continuously meeting client expectations.

Day-to-day Interior Design project delivery including communication with Client, Internal and External Project teams, Authorities, and other Stakeholders.

Address and solve design challenges efficiently.

Assist the Design Manager and studio Director in planning Interior Design deliverables, Consultant scope of works, design reviews, Client signoffs, programme, resources, and budgets required for delegated projects.

Ensure all required Interiors checklists and QA reviews are completed on your projects, and be involved in QA reviews and processes with mentoring.

To be successful in this role, you should have the below skillset:

4 + years’ experience working in the Interior Designer/Architecture Field.

Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture (or similar).

Ability to generate innovative and aesthetically pleasing design concepts.

Skilled in using design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Enscape, Adobe Suite, SketchUp).

Skills in Revit will be highly regarded.

Expertise in managing timelines, budgets, and project workflows.

Strong ability to engage with clients and understand their needs.

In-depth understanding of materials, finishes, and furnishings.

Sound knowledge of Australian Standards and how they apply to Interior Design.

Capability to address and resolve design and implementation issues.

Precision in creating and reviewing design plans and specifications.

Experience in sourcing and collaborating with suppliers and contractors.

Competence in inspecting sites and ensuring design quality.

Knowledge of current design trends and industry standards.
