Contract Building Project Manager – National Not-for-Profit Portfolio
Greater Sydney & Central Coast Based | 6-Month Contract | Ute + Laptop + Mobile Provided
 $150K + Super | Immediate Start Available
The Harrison Barratt Group, in partnership with a highly regarded national not-for-profit organisation, is seeking a skilled and hands-on Building Project Manager to take the reins on a diverse and rewarding portfolio of critical property upgrades and compliance projects.
With a portfolio of over 250 sites—mostly concentrated across Greater Sydney and the Central Coast—you’ll be stepping into a legacy network of properties, many built before the 1980s, that now require a dedicated professional to bring them up to modern safety and compliance standards.
 Key Projects You’ll Drive
- Building Condition Remediation: Over 200 properties have recently undergone condition reporting. You’ll manage the scope, planning, and delivery of necessary repairs, maintenance, and compliance upgrades.
- Make-Good Works: Oversee works required on properties being relinquished back to Councils and Crown Lands.
- Fire Safety Compliance: Lead critical upgrades to fire safety systems and building compliance in line with BCA/NCC standards. Includes working with engineers, assessing DA pathways, and advising on rebuild viability.
- Onsite Wastewater System Approvals: Manage the approval and/or upgrade of multiple septic systems across various campsites and halls in collaboration with local councils and external partners.
♂️ What You’ll Need
- Proven experience in building project management, ideally with a strong grounding in compliance, safety, and BCA/NCC regulations.
- Confidence managing multiple stakeholders, including consultants, contractors, council officers, and internal property teams.
- Ability to prepare scopes of work, read reports, interpret fire and safety compliance documents, and recommend practical, cost-effective solutions.
- Comfortable working from home, travelling to sites, and engaging with community stakeholders on the ground.
 Support & Structure
- You’ll report directly to the State Property Lead and work closely with 2 Property Services Officers.
- No need to source tradies—two major contractor partners (Progroup & Intrec) are already onboard to provide quote packages and trades coverage.
- The role is largely autonomous, with plenty of support via Teams, phone, and face-to-face catchups at project sites.
 What’s on Offer
- 6-Month Contract (potential for extension)
- $150K + Super
- Ute + Laptop + Mobile
- Work-from-home flexibility + site visits across Sydney & surrounds
- Opportunity to make a real impact across a meaningful property portfolio that supports community causes
