About the Role

The College Support Officer provides timely administrative, records management, and organisational support to the College leadership team. Working within a pooled support model, the role addresses a broad range of enquiries and ensures efficient coordination across functional areas.

With a strong service focus, the College Support Officer supports the Dean of Research and their portfolio, while contributing to a positive and professional environment. The role also offers opportunities for ongoing skill development through collaboration with experienced colleagues.

In addition to the above, the College Support Officer will:

  • Identify and contribute to continuous improvements in systems, processes and service delivery, participating in learning and development activities and effectively collaborating with all staff to ensure a positive workplace culture.
  • Prepare, edit and distribute professional-standard written material, including correspondence, reports and presentations.
  • Build and sustain positive working relationships with a range of key stakeholders relevant to senior leadership.

About You

As the successful candidate, you will be a self-motivated and flexible professional with strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. You will demonstrate excellent attention to detail, a customer-centric approach, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team.

Your problem-solving skills, sound judgement, and initiative will be key in supporting the College of Science and Engineering leadership team. You will actively contribute to a positive team culture while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and responsiveness to the needs of the College.

To be successful in this role, you will also demonstrate:

  • Commitment to high quality outcomes, including an attention to detail, the ability to research and collate information from a wide range of sources, and an ability to relate tasks to the wider context.
  • Sound knowledge of contemporary administrative systems, software, and practices.
  • An ability to interpret and apply a range of relevant policies and procedures within a large and complex organisation.
