Canteen Assistant – Arcadia College

Part-time | 10 hours per week, increasing to 30 hours in the last 2 weeks of each term

About the Role

We are currently seeking a Canteen Assistant to support our School Chef and the kitchen team in preparing and serving daily meals to students. This role plays a vital part in fostering a positive and caring environment where students feel valued, nourished and ready to engage in learning. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dedicated team that makes a real difference in the lives of young people every day.

10 hours per week ( during regular term weeks)

25- 30 hours per week during the final two weeks of each term - 5 days

Works well under pressure and enjoys a fast-paced environment

Can take direction and collaborate closely with others

Understands the importance of compassion, tolerance and respect in a school setting

Is passionate about supporting young people through food and nutrition

Qualifications & Requirements

Catering qualifications

Recent experience in a busy kitchen or food service environment

Barista experience or qualifications highly regarded

Food Safety Certificate (mandatory)

Experience in an educational or school-based setting (desirable)

Paid Blue Card (Working With Children – QLD)
