The Hardware Team within the Hardware and Software Asset Management unit is part of Service Operations section of Information Technology Branch (ITB). The team provides lifecycle management of contemporary Information Communication and Technology (ICT) desktop hardware assets to enable TMR staff to meet their business objectives aligned to the TMR Strategic Plan.

Key responsibilities

In the role of Senior Technical Specialist (Hardware Assets), you will provide high level technical skills and expertise to support the effective operation, and lifecycle management of ICT desktop hardware assets. The role underpins critical statewide services and forms part of TMR's strategic platform for delivery of client and network applications.

Requirements of the role

In the areas of desktop hardware and componentry:

  • Asset management: Experience in lifecycle managing hardware assets, including logistics and testing current and emerging technologies.
  • Technical expertise: Experience in providing technical solutions to meet business requirements, identifying trends, and supporting enterprise technologies.
  • Contract management: Experience in hardware vendor or managed service provider engagements, and contract administration.
  • Leadership: Ability to lead technical discussions, conduct reviews, provide technical advice, and guide technical team members.

Desirable requirements:

  • Experience in or knowledge of:
  • End user technologies & toolsets
  • ServiceNow ITIL practices
  • Practical reporting compilation skills
  • Financial management principles
