Foodbank SA & NT is South Australia and Northern Territories largest food relief organisation. We are a not-for-profit and non-denominational community-based organisation established in SA in 2000.
Our vision is to end hunger in South Australia and the Northern Territory. Our mission is to get the most good food, to the most people, in the most efficient way possible.
Foodbank SA & NT has 13 Food Hubs and provides food relief to over 150,000 people every month. One third of these are children. We source food from wholesalers, manufacturers, supermarkets and growers, saving more than 2.5 million kilograms of food from landfill each year. In the last 12 months, we have sourced enough food to put more than 10 million meals on the table of those doing it tough in our community.
About the Role
Foodbank SA & NT has an opportunity available for a permanent, part time Food Hub Support in our Davoren Park Food Hub. This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy and friendly team of staff and volunteers, where you will have the opportunity to make a difference in people’s lives.

In this role you will:

- Assist with the induction, training and management of volunteers
- Support stock control and ordering
- Support the organisation and presentation of the store
- In the absence of the Coordinator, coordinate and support the volunteer team and ensure daily administration is completed.
About You
As the successful applicant, you will have strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills with excellent time management, and you will enjoy working closely within a diverse and friendly team. Leadership experience is not essential but will be highly regarded.
A commitment to community service and the not for profit sector is essential and previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage. A National Police Clearance and First Aid Certificate are essential.
