About the Role:

As the Student Safety Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in supporting student safety initiatives and safeguarding efforts. Working closely and reporting with the National Manager, you will help develop, manage, and promote prevention programs to raise awareness and foster a safe, inclusive university community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development and implementation of prevention initiatives to enhance student safety and wellbeing.
• Support case management processes, ensuring timely and sensitive responses to safeguarding concerns.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to address safety needs and promote awareness campaigns.
• Deliver training and educational programs to raise awareness of safety and safeguarding policies.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of initiatives, contributing to continuous improvement.
• Provide advice and guidance to staff and students on safety-related matters.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A strong understanding of safeguarding and student safety principles.
• Qualifications – relevant tertiary qualifications in social working and or psychology
• Proven experience in case management and supporting prevention initiatives.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• The ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
