About your new role
As a Senior Utilities Designer, you will be based in the Engineering Design and Standards branch in the Engineering Design and Specification business unit. You will aid in delivering engineering solutions, infrastructure designs and applying infrastructure standards for all customer and community facing infrastructure classes.
You will provide detailed design services for ‘Green and Brown field’ municipal multi-disciplinary projects. This includes, but is not limited to:
Undertake design and documentation for water, wastewater, and other utility infrastructure projects, meeting key milestones, and ensuring that results are delivered to the agreed quality on time and within budget.
Use relevant skills, judgement, and experience in the creation of the design and documentation.

We're looking for people who have:
Experience in design of water and wastewater infrastructure and/or utility design with attention to detail.
Minimum 5 years of experience with a focus on water/wastewater utility projects.
Advanced knowledge in engineering software including 12d model and AutoCAD.
Good understanding of the requirements of standards and guidelines (WSAA, SEQ Water and Sewerage Code).
Highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills. You utilise your highly developed analytical, problem solving and investigative skills to provide sound advice, options and recommendations to influence project outcomes.
Time and delivery management skills.
