My client, a major NSW Government organisation urgently requires a Data Engineer with proven Azure Analytics stack experience for this immediate contract based in Western Sydney/WFH. Working in a highly skilled team of IT professionals, this role will focus on the developing data & supporting data and analytics using the Microsoft Azure Analytics Stack, as well as developing data integration with Power BI and Power Platform. This is a highly exciting role to work with some of the best in the business in an innovative and collaborative environment. This initial contract will be for 2-3 months with further extensions highly likely and can be performed working remotely from home and in the client’s Western-Sydney based offices (Hybrid)

Essential Skills required

• 7+ years total Data Engineer and or Data Analytics experience in total
• 4+ years ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) experience in total
• 3+ years’ experience of the following: Azure Analytics, Data Factory, Power BI, Power Platform and Data Bricks
• Excellent communications and stakeholder engagement skills

Desirable Skills

• Previous NSW Government, Banking or Telecommunications experience
• Certified in Azure Analytics or Power Platform/Power BI
