Our client, a large Federal government department based in Brisbane CBD, QLD, requires an experienced DevOps engineer for a 12 + 12 month contract.

Duties

• Designing, building, deploying, and supporting the Agency's Cloud & Data Infrastructure.
• Prioritise work items and add them to a work queue, ensuring the solution follows integration best practices.
• Play a pivotal role in our project team, using an agile development framework.

Essential criteria

• Extensive hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure and services.
• Experience in building and deploying of DevOps practices, tools, and continuous delivery pipelines such as GitLab, Artifactory, and Jira.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tooling such as Terraform.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git and agile development methodologies.
• Ability to write moderately complex code across multiple languages such as Python, JavaScript, and Golang.
• Experience with containerisation, cluster deployment and orchestration such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Desirable criteria

• Database deployment and administration (Postgres and MySQL).
• Administration of Azure Infrastructure.
• Experience with Networking, Cloudflare, Hashicorp Vault.
• Experience building and managing PKI.
