Job Description

We’re on the lookout for a confident and capable Night Manager to take the reins after dark and lead our Front Office team through the overnight shift.

You’ll be the face of the hotel overnight—responsible for the safety, security, and seamless operation of the property during the twilight hours. From late check-ins to early risers, you’ll deliver a guest experience that’s warm, welcoming, and always one step ahead. You’ll oversee nightly audits and reporting, manage guest requests with confidence and care, support your team, and work closely with other departments to ensure everything is set for the day ahead.

Main Responsibilities:

Ensure accurate reports are prepared by supervising night audit procedures and reconciling daily transactions for management review.

Manage late arrivals and early morning departures to ensure a smooth check-in and check-out process.

Exceed guest expectations by promptly resolving overnight issues to ensure a positive experience.

Collaborate with Food & Beverage establishments to maintain a cohesive and exceptional guest experience throughout the property during the late hours.

Serve as the primary first aid responder during shifts, providing immediate medical attention to guests or staff in need. Maintain a calm and professional demeanour while administering first aid and coordinating further medical assistance if required.

Qualifications

Supervisory or management experience in Hotel Front Office operations or related hospitality roles is preferred but optional.

Strong understanding of front office systems (Opera Cloud) and proficient in night audit procedures, demonstrating accuracy in reconciling financial transactions.

A natural leader with great communication and problem-solving skills.

Ability to adapt to overnight shifts and handle diverse responsibilities as management requires.

Must have valid Australian Working Rights.
