- Remuneration: $42.15 - 53.96 p/hr (based on experience) + 11.5% Super + Annual Leave loading + NFP Salary Packaging + Employee Benefits including flexible work arrangements
Blue care is seeking applications from Exercise Physiologists keen to join our highly skilled Moreton North Allied Health team on a permanent basis.
You will be working for a leading not for profit organisation that promotes a positive work life balance and flexible working arrangements offering a combination of in centre assessments, group exercise programs and home visits to deliver home exercise programs.
You'll work with our well established multidisciplinary team (MDT) to deliver the highest standard of care and exercise physiology treatment using a person-centred approach. Your main aim will be to maintain and encourage client independence in addition to considering their physical and social wellbeing. You will have support from Allied Health Assistants to deliver your supports.
Highlights of your role include:
- In centre and home visit based service supporting clients in aged care community, Medicare, DVA worker's compensation and private sector.
- Supervision with a senior exercise physiologist, peer supervision, and regular support from a dedicated Exercise Physiology Allied Health Lead.
- Opportunity to build community caseload to increase individual assessments and groups offered
- Manage your own case load with realistic productivity targets
- Flexibility in days/hours
You will also demonstrate a willingness to work within Philosophy, Policies and Procedures of Blue Care and the Uniting Church of Australia.
Additionally you will offer:
- Tertiary qualifications in Clinical Exercise Physiology with current ESSA Accreditation.
- Have a minimum of 1-2 years' experience as an Exercise Physiologist.
- New graduates welcome to apply.
- Have the ability to grow and maintain client caseloads through successful results and positive word of mouth.
- Demonstrated ability in Exercise Physiology assessment and treatment of individuals presenting with a wide range of needs, including aged care, disability, workers compensation and chronic illnesses/ diseases.
- Exceptional high level of verbal and written communication skills with the ability to establish and maintain rapport with a multidisciplinary team, clients and their carers.
- Ability to provide mentorship and guidance to less experienced allied health professionals.
- Proven clinical problem solving skills, with effective time-management and ability to manage conflicting priorities.
- Demonstrated ability and proficiency in appropriate documenting and accurate record keeping.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a multi-disciplinary team member and autonomously.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage individual caseload whilst meeting service and customer needs.
- Demonstrated ability to recognise other needs that Blue Care can assist customers with and provide relevant and timely referrals.
- Confidence with use of smart phone and digital devices or willingness to learn.
- NDIS Workers Screening Clearance or willingness to obtain.
- Current Australian Drivers Licence and a road worthy vehicle with comprehensive insurance as required.

- You will be a member of a well-established team of over 40 Allied Health clinicians including Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Social Work, Exercise Physiology, Speech Pathology, Dietitians, Allied Health Assistants, in addition to liaising with Clinical Nursing teams.
- You will have the opportunity to engage in MDT team meetings and education
- You will be supported through an induction program including regular supervision and mentoring with a senior exercise physiologist
- You will attend regular catch ups with a dedicated Exercise Physiology Allied Health Lead and Senior Exercise Physiologist to ensure you are supported in your position.
