Role Overview: We’re looking for a dedicated and friendly Cook to join our welcoming Hilltop by Teman community in Toowoomba, QLD. Working Monday to Friday 10am to 6pm, reporting to the Catering Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in preparing wholesome, nutritious meals that bring comfort and connection to our residents.

This role is perfect for someone who finds joy in the rhythm of a kitchen, takes pride in simple, delicious food, and understands that a good meal can brighten someone’s whole day.

What You’ll Do

Prepare and serve quality meals that meet the dietary needs and tastes of our residents.

Assist in planning daily and weekly menus under the guidance of the Catering Supervisor.

Follow all food safety and hygiene protocols with care and attention to detail.

Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment.

Support the team with kitchen operations including stock rotation, prep, and dishwashing.

Bring a positive, can-do attitude that contributes to a supportive kitchen culture.

What We’re Looking For

Previous experience in a similar cooking or kitchen role—ideally within aged care, hospitality, or community dining.

A valid Food Handling Certificate and understanding of safe food practices.

A collaborative spirit and ability to work harmoniously with others in a small team.

First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).

A passion for preparing meals that are both nutritious and comforting.
