About the Role:

We are currently looking for an experienced Group Financial Accountant to join our team. The key duties will include:

• Month-end and year-end financial statements preparation with commentaries for the group.
  
• Process and Oversee payroll processing, journal entries, and reconciliations.
  
• Responsible for balance sheet reconciliations, including bank reconciliations.
  
• Prepare weekly and quarterly cash flow reports.
  
• Handle the preparation and lodgement of BAS, FBT, PAYG tax, and Superannuation submissions.
  
• Manage Fixed Assets and ensure proper accounting treatment.
  
• Manage two direct reports (Accounts Payable and a Financial Accountant).
  
• Support external tax accountants on all tax compliance and reporting matters.
  
• Monitor trade finance facilities and banking transactions.
  
• Reconcile intercompany transactions and ensure accuracy.
  
• Credit card management and insurance matters.
  
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
  
• Implement and enhance financial controls.
  
• Support system integration, process improvements, and SOP development.
  

Provide financial insights to CFO and managers for analytics and strategic projects.

Requirements

We are seeking a candidate who:

• Is CPA / CA qualified.
  
• Has previous experience in a similar role within manufacturing or project-based accounting (highly desirable).
  
• Has experience managing direct reports.
  
• Is proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems (preferably Pronto, Xero, and MYOB).
  
• Previous experience within Manufacturing is highly desirable.
