We are seeking a skilled SQL Developer / Database Developer to design, develop, and optimise SQL databases and ETL/ELT pipelines. You will transform data into reporting-ready solutions, ensuring security, scalability, and performance. This role focuses on SQL expertise while offering opportunities to collaborate on impactful projects in a dynamic team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and optimise SQL databases, including views, stored procedures, and functions, ensuring high performance and reliability.
• Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and integrating data from diverse sources.
• Collaborate with analysts to model clean, accurate, and reporting-ready datasets.
• Develop scalable and reusable data solutions that align with business needs.
• Monitor database performance and implement improvements to ensure data accessibility and efficiency.
• Utilise SQL, Python, and scripting languages for advanced data processing and transformations.
• Ensure data security, quality, and compliance with industry best practices.
• Document database schemas, ETL/ELT workflows, and processes to support team knowledge sharing and governance.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for database and data pipeline deployments using Azure DevOps.

Key Requirements:

• Tertiary education or equivalent industry qualifications.
• Strong expertise in SQL, including dynamic query writing and relational database design.
• Proficiency in building and managing ETL/ELT workflows.
• Experience with data transformation and modelling for reporting and analytics.
• Familiarity with Azure Data Factory or similar tools (advantageous but not essential).
• Proficiency in Python, Spark SQL, and other scripting languages.
• Experience with Azure DevOps and Git for version control and deployment.
• Strong understanding of data quality, governance, and best practices in database management.
• Ability to integrate APIs or external data sources with SQL-driven solutions.
• Solid collaboration and communication skills, with experience working alongside both technical and business teams.

Salary Package: $120K Base Salary + Superannuation
