Procurement Specialist | 6 Month Contract

• $75 p/h + super

Lead the development and implementation of policies, procedures, systems and performance management frameworks for all procurement related activity to ensure a high level of professional practice and deliver compliant, effective and efficient procurement outcomes.

Key accountabilities include:

• Provide authoritative advice to key stakeholders on all aspects of the procurement function to encourage best practices, achieve delivery of business outcomes and support policy directions
• Act as an internal consultant to executives and managers on operational procurement issues along with the evaluation of outcomes of alternative business strategies, making recommendations as appropriate
• Apply the Procurement Framework and monitor compliance, manage risk, provide insights and improve procurement activity and performance
• Lead and manage procurement staff (and cross-functional procurement teams) to successfully deliver procurement business plans and achieve optimal outcomes from procurement activity
• Provide procurement leadership and direction across the organisation and represent the portfolio at sector level forums and working groups
• Develop reports and manage compliance with Whole of Government reporting requirements including targeted spend and GIPA disclosures
• Develop and manage complex business support projects ensuring completion within required timeframes, budget and quality standards

About You

• Demonstrated experience working at a senior level & in a complex organisation delivering specialist and authoritative advice to executive leadership where it relates to Procurement.
• Experience working within NSW government legislative framework.
• Proven experience in analysing and presenting on multiple data sources including financial, metrics, statistics and other information.
