Col Smith Garden & Building Supply is a well-established Melbourne based business that has been operating for over four decades. We have 4 branches, Highett, Nunawading, Kew East & Doncaster East. We currently have a casual position available at Kew East for a Delivery Driver (HR). The right applicant will have required HR license at least, crane experience, a positive attitude, can work in a team and follow direction well. Starting early May 2025 .

Your duties will include but not be limited to:

• Ensuring the correct loads are delivered to the designated customer locations

• Loading/Unloading vehicles (crane truck operation on occasion)

• Reporting to the LOM (Logistics Operations Manager) & Branch Manager

• General yard-hand work/loading as required when not on deliveries or quarry pick-ups

The successful candidate will:

• Possess a valid Victorian HR license at least. Having a Valid HR, Fassi crane experience, a Forklift license and a safe overall driving record would also be favorable. Employment will be subject to a points check of current license.

• Have knowledge and experience of loading and unloading side load trucks and rear load trucks. Fassi Model Crane experience would be ideal.

• Have knowledge and experience of safe work practices.

• Be physically fit and capable of occasional manual handling, getting in & out of vehicles.

• Be willing and able to take direction.

• Possess excellent communication & navigation skills.

• Be able to work in a team environment.

• Possess a "can do" attitude.

• Have a mature outlook.

• Be organized and punctual.

• A desire to learn and work hard with a full time role being an option in the future based on performance.

Advantageous but not necessary for the role:

• HC or loader license & specific garden supply experience

• Crane Truck experience with Fassi model cranes & Mechanical Aptitude
