CNC Machinist – Bayswater
Hours: Day Shift / Afternoon Shift
Pay Rate: $50 - $60
Location: Bayswater

About the Role:
We’re currently seeking a skilled CNC Machinists to join a leading team in Bayswater working on rail equipment and components.
This is an excellent opportunity to secure steady work with long-term potential in a high-performing and safety-focused workshop.
You’ll be working as a CNC Operator/Trade Assistant on a dedicated overhaul line involving:

• Machining of wheels and axles
• Mechanical fitting and assembly
• Bearing installation
• Component measuring and quality control

You’ll also be responsible for:

• Operating and setting up CNC lathe machines to produce high-precision components
• Interpreting drawings and specifications to determine the correct method of manufacture
• Carrying out mechanical fitting tasks on wheelsets and support housings
• Upholding high safety standards at all times

About You:

We’re after motivated individuals who take pride in their work and can bring experience and reliability to the team.

• Experience in CNC machine operation and programming
• Able to set up and machine components to tight tolerances
• Kinwa CNC lathe experience preferred but not essential
• Strong understanding of measuring instruments and quality control
• Relevant trade qualification or solid hands-on experience
• Good communication skills – both written and verbal
• Previous experience in the rail industry is a bonus, but full training is available for the right candidate
