About the Organisation:

This thriving mid-tier accounting firm is internationally recognised in over 100 countries, and their Brisbane office is seeing exceptional growth in multiple areas of the business! They are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to work a combined role of supporting a key group of clients, while offering support with internal payroll and tax filings. This is a great opportunity for someone who loves diversity in their workload and a fast-paced environment.

You will be working alongside 2 Directors and a team of 6 accountants/bookkeepers. This particular team works with clients across industries such as agriculture, farming, construction and more. This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys (or would be keen to get involved with) client advisory work and helping multiple business achieve success simultaneously!

Key responsibilities:

• Maintaining accurate financial records
• Managing accounts payable and receivable (including processing invoices and payments)
• Reconciling bank statements and credit card transactions
• Communicating with clients and vendors directly
• Preparing financial reports (including balance sheets, income statements and cashflow statements)
• Assisting with payroll and tax filings internally

Skills and Experience:

• 2+ years' experience working as a bookkeeper (or relevant) in an Australian public practice accounting firm
• Strong understanding of Australian tax and accounting principles
• Experience with Xero (ideal), Dext, Employment Hero and Excel (bonus!)
• Experience working with multiple clients simultaneously across a variety of bookkeeping tasks
• Knowledge of payroll processing and tax filings is ideal
• Someone who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and can also work independently
