About the Role

Policy, Programs and Engagement Division: Embark on a career with our Policy Programs and Engagement Division, a hub of excellence that drives national programs and portfolio priorities. We inform policies and manage external stakeholder relationships, fostering a collaborative network based on trust. The role, Assistant Director Compliance Outreach, is located within the Compliance Outreach Section of the Policy Programs and Engagement Division. The Compliance Outreach Section encourages and supports participants in the My Health Record system to understand and comply with their obligations, as outlined in the My Health Records Act 2012 and the My Health Records Rule 2016.

In undertaking the role, the Assistant Director, Compliance Outreach will be responsible for managing regulatory compliance functions in alignment with the Agency’s Compliance Framework. This includes:

  • strategic planning and delivery of compliance functions including audits, issues management, quality assurance and stakeholder engagement.
  • leading delivery of compliance activities across proactive, reactive and education workstreams.
  • supporting other members of the section, including overseeing the work of compliance and assurance advisors.
  • collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities, achieve outcomes and support compliance across the My Health Record ecosystem.

What You’ll Bring

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to suit diverse audiences and translate complex data results into plain language.
  • Experience in working with legislation and legislative frameworks.
  • High-analytical and critical thinking skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Qualifications or experience related to compliance, working with legislation, quality assurance, or translating technical and legislative requirements into plain language, will be highly regarded.

Salary: This role offers between $120,486 to $137,417 depending on skills and experience plus 15.4% superannuation.
