Dimensional Control Surveyor / Laser Scan Technician

A rare opportunity to work for a current world leader within Dimensional Control Surveying based in 3B Survey’s Perth Office.

This forward-thinking Surveying Company has 4 world-wide offices with 3B Survey’s head office located in the Perth CBD, Western Australia.

We are looking to expand our survey / scanning team due to exciting new projects both Australia-wide and internationally. As part of day-to-day duties there will be a need to travel to sites both on and offshore. There may be some international travel involved depending on projects. Office duties are required between projects to carry out and evaluate results. This is not always roster based and travel is determined on a project-by-project basis.

Your duties will include;

Carrying out surveys and 3D Laser scanning on and offshore, in an Oil & Gas environment and preparing the final product data using various software.

Drafting.

Involvement in pipe spool fabrication.

Dimensional Control on O&G platforms, or other environments within Australia and overseas.

3D Laser Scanning on various offshore platforms within Australia and overseas.

Carry out survey calculations and utilise the results to produce reports, drawings and AutoCAD models.

Essentials;

Qualification in a Surveying or an Engineering discipline OR 3 yrs+ experience in a surveying / laser scanning field

Strong computer skills

Must Have Valid Work Visa for Australia

Proficient using AutoCAD, Leica Total Stations and Leica Laser Scanners

Advantageous;

Survey / Laser scanning knowledge

Experience working with pipe fabrication

OPITO approved BOSIET, HUET, MSIC

UKOOA Medical Clearance
