As the Head Chef of our small family-run restaurant, you will take a hands-on role in daily kitchen operations, creating and executing dishes with consistent quality, flavor, and presentation. Working closely with a tight-knit team, you will bring a modern touch to our menu while maintaining our reputation for excellence. This role requires a chef who is passionate about cooking, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is committed to delivering exceptional dining experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

Hands-On Cooking and Quality Control

  • Prepare and cook dishes to consistently high standards in taste, flavor, and presentation.
  • Ensure all meals align with the restaurant's style and guest expectations.

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with a small team, fostering a supportive and efficient kitchen environment.
  • Provide guidance and training to staff as needed.
  • Contribute to a positive family-oriented workplace culture.

Menu Development and Innovation

  • Collaborate on menu updates, bringing fresh, modern ideas while honouring the restaurant's concept. Must also be able to provide costing for menu's and any new dishes.
  • Test and refine dishes to ensure consistency and appeal.

Kitchen Operations

  • Maintain a clean and organised kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Manage inventory and ordering, minimising waste and ensuring freshness.

Consistency and Presentation

  • Deliver dishes with consistent flavor and creative plating to enhance the guest experience.
  • Uphold high standards of presentation for every meal served.
