What's on offer?
Remuneration package of up to $164,696 p.a.

  • Salary range: $132,562 - $143924 p.a. (+ applicable allowances/benefits) (Nurse Grade 7).
  • 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading and 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.
  • Plus great Salary Sacrificing options may be available and flexible working arrangements.

About the role

  • Provide input into the development of clinical practices, procedures and protocols relating to community mental health and be accountable for the delivery of safe clinical practice and professional advice and ensure that appropriate clinical data is collected and maintained appropriately in clinical files and systems such as Consumer Information Mental Health Application.
  • Participate in clinical education and practice supervision for Clinical Nurses, Registered Nurses and students.
  • Collaborate with other agencies and services in providing appropriate, culturally safe and respectful assistance, care, counselling and medical treatment to persons with a mental illness.

Role requirements

  • Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position is mandatory. Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current practising certificate.
  • This position requires the incumbent to operate a class C motor vehicle and an appropriate license endorsement to operate this vehicle is required.

Highly desirable

  • Possession of relevant post-registration and/or tertiary qualification in mental health nursing.
  • Credentialed status with the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses.
  • Eligibility for appointment as an Authorised Mental Health Practitioner under Mental Health Act 2000.
