Growth IQ is seeking an experienced and technically strong Senior Manager to lead our accounting and bookkeeping teams. This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring the delivery of high-quality compliance work, mentoring staff, and contributing to the strategic growth of the firm.

As Senior Manager, you’ll work directly with the Managing Director to drive operational excellence and enhance the client experience across a broad portfolio. Your expertise will be instrumental in managing quality control, supporting advisory engagements, and being the point of escalation for technical queries.

Key Responsibilities:

Review financial statements and tax returns before final delivery to clients

Provide technical support across payroll, complex bookkeeping, and compliance issues

Support the Senior Bookkeeping Manager and the Accounting Team Supervisor

Collaborate with the Managing Director on strategic client advisory work

Drive continuous improvement across systems, workflow, and quality standards

Lead and mentor team members to elevate performance and capability

Ensure timely and efficient delivery of client engagements

Maintain compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations

Qualifications and Experience:

CA (or equivalent) qualified with a commerce-related degree

20+ years’ experience in public practice accounting

Proven experience reviewing work and leading teams in a high-performance environment

Strong technical understanding of tax compliance, accounting standards, and payroll

Proficient in Xero and cloud-based platforms (e.g., Dext, Hubdoc, NowInfinity)

Confident communicator and relationship builder
