Here at the Department of Human Services (DHS), we strive to deliver modern programs, services and policy that strengthen communities and enable South Australians to actively participate in community life. With people at the heart of what we do and a commitment to child safety, ageing well and supporting people with disability, we work to increase inclusion, independence and decision-making, and help our communities when it matters most.
Our Pathways, Evidence and Partnerships Directorate clinically assesses referrals for service matching and gathers the latest evidence and data to shape reform and delivery of Child and Family Support System. strengthening communication and understanding across the child protection and domestic and family violence support systems for timely and effective responses to meeting the needs of children and their families
promoting and developing strong partnerships, with both government and non-government agencies, to create best outcomes for families
working in partnership with all stakeholders across the child protection, education and human service systems, to identify and implement service responses for vulnerable families
providing consultation on, and a specialist lens for, referrals received by the CFSS Pathways Service where children and families are experiencing family violence
