About the Role:

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Vacuum Truck Operator to join our team, specialising in the removal and transportation of liquid waste, including sewage and septic waste. This role involves operating vacuum trucks and associated equipment to service residential, commercial, and industrial sites.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate vacuum truck equipment safely and efficiently

Pump out and remove sewage, sludge, and other non-hazardous liquid waste from septic tanks, grease traps, pits, and other systems

Transport and dispose of waste at designated treatment facilities in accordance with local regulations

Complete job documentation, service reports, and logbooks accurately

Perform pre-start checks, basic maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment

Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures and company policies

Maintain a clean and professional truck and appearance

Communicate with customers in a courteous and professional manner

Report any safety concerns, equipment issues, or customer complaints promptly

Requirements:

Valid HR (Heavy Rigid) or higher truck license

Experience operating vacuum trucks (preferred but not essential – training provided)

Knowledge of sewage systems and liquid waste handling (advantageous)

Strong commitment to safety and compliance

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors

Excellent time management and communication skills

Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and participate in an on-call roster if required
