Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior OpenShift Administrator to manage and maintain on-premises Red Hat OpenShift clusters, particularly within government services.

Your new role

• Design, deploy, manage, and troubleshoot OpenShift or other Kubernetes clusters.
• Assist developers with automating the deployment, scaling, and management of containerised applications.
• Oversee cluster management, resource allocation, and capacity planning.
• Develop and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using tools like Ansible, Terraform, or Helm.
• Ensure the security of OpenShift environments with best practices.
• Lead technical teams, mentor junior engineers, and manage project timelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and share knowledge with the team.

What you'll need to succeed

• 5+ years in system administration, including OpenShift/Kubernetes cluster administration.
• Extensive experience in Kubernetes administration (networking, security, storage, troubleshooting).
• Experience in government or highly regulated environments, with compliance with standards like ISM and Essential 8.

• Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or related field (highly desirable).
• Alternatively, 5+ years of professional experience in a large-scale ICT environment and 3+ years in a large-scale Kubernetes environment.
• Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration or equivalent certification (or willingness to obtain within 3-6 months).
• Certifications in Cloud Platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or willingness to obtain within 3-6 months.

• Qualifications:
• Experience and knowledge across ICT technologies such as Kubernetes, Ansible, Helm, Python & Bash, CI/CD Pipelines, Git, and Linux.
