The Role

We are seeking an experienced Civil Drafter with 3-5 years of relevant experience to join our growing Brisbane office. In this role, you will work closely with our engineering team to produce high-quality AutoCAD drawings for a diverse range of civil infrastructure projects throughout South East Queensland. This position requires strong AutoCAD skills and a focus on precise technical drafting.

Key Responsibilities

Create precise and detailed civil engineering drawings for urban developments, roadworks, and infrastructure projects with a focus on AutoCAD Civil 3D

Develop detailed AutoCAD drawings and perform quality checks for complex projects

Prepare earthworks, grading, and drainage plans

Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams including engineers, architects, and contractors

Participate in design review meetings and implement feedback

Support project managers with technical documentation and approvals processes

Assist with construction phase services including RFIs and as-built drawings

Essential Requirements

3-5 years' experience in civil drafting for engineering projects

Advanced skills in AutoCAD Civil 3D with demonstrated expertise in 2D and 3D drafting

Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Civil Engineering/Drafting or equivalent qualification

Thorough understanding of Queensland development codes and Brisbane City Council standards

Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and construction methods

Excellent spatial visualization abilities and attention to detail

Effective time management skills and ability to work under pressure

Desirable Skills

Experience with SEQ local government approval processes

Background in drafting for transport infrastructure projects
