About the Opportunity

A leading organisation is seeking a hands-on Product Support Specialist to join their team and support a critical live data migration project across multiple production systems.

You will work within live environments to run queries, monitor migration processes, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the smooth movement of large data volumes between systems.

This is a technical, migration-focused role requiring strong initiative, problem-solving ability, and comfort operating in live production environments where documentation may be limited.

Key Responsibilities

• Support live migration activities across Oracle, SaaS, and AWS-based systems
• Run and troubleshoot database queries (Oracle, PostgreSQL) using tools such as DBeaver
• Confidently operate within live production environments without disrupting business operations
• Analyse migration results, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues across systems
• Trigger AWS Lambdas and monitor AWS services (logs, file movements) as part of the migration process
• Communicate migration progress and outcomes to internal stakeholders
• Learn undocumented system processes through operational analysis and observation
• Maintain and update basic documentation for migration activities as required

Skills & Experience Required

• Strong hands-on experience supporting live production systems
• Proven ability to run and interpret SQL queries (Oracle, PostgreSQL)
• Confident troubleshooting and solving migration issues across multiple platforms
• Comfortable working within AWS environments (triggering Lambdas, checking logs, etc.)
• Ability to navigate and solve problems with incomplete system documentation
• Strong communication skills for internal reporting and stakeholder updates
• Self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently after initial handover

Desirable (but not essential)

• Python scripting skills for process improvement and automation
• Experience within the utilities, metering, or energy sectors
