Are you passionate about making a difference for youth aged 12 to 25 in our local community and region? Our client is currently seeking a qualified Mental Health Clinician or Clinician in Emerald to work with a team providing a critical support network.

About headspace Emerald:
headspace is an innovative youth service founded in 2006 providing services to over 154 communities throughout Australia. They deliver access to primary and mental health, alcohol and drug services, social welfare and vocational services for young people. The service is based on early identification and effective, evidence-based intervention delivered by primary care and specialist providers working together within an accessible and integrated service framework.
About the roles:
Join a leading organisation committed to supporting young people and making a real difference in their lives. As a Clinician or Mental Health Clinician with headspace Emerald, you will provide evidence-based screening, assessment, and therapeutic interventions tailored to achieve positive and meaningful outcomes for young people.
In this role, you will deliver one-on-one counselling, psychoeducation, and skills-building sessions to young people both in-centre and through outreach services. You will conduct comprehensive clinical assessments to develop and implement individualised care plans that are person-centred and guided by the young person’s needs and goals. Additionally, you will facilitate early and brief intervention therapies, including group programs, to address challenges and support problem-solving for young people and their families.
Collaboration is key in this position, as you will work closely with young people and their families to develop treatment plans that recognise and value the significant role of family and friends in a young person’s life. By promoting inclusive and youth-friendly practices, you will ensure that every young person receives compassionate and tailored care.
This is a full-time or part time office based role onsite in Emerald on a fixed term contract until June, 2026.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Approved and fully completed tertiary level qualifications in an allied health discipline, including counselling, social work, psychology (clinical counselling and 4+2 pathway or 5+1 pathway), mental health nursing and occupational therapy.
- Registration or membership with APHRA or AASW
- Full Covid vaccination evidence is required by Anglicare
- Police check and other pre-employment checks will be conducted

- Clinician is Award Level 5 starting at $97,689.00 + Super, 1 x full time role is available and one part-time (pro-rata L5 salary 38 hr f/n).
