There is a full time and a part-time opportunity available.

About the Role

You will play a critical role in supporting young people across Emerald and surrounding areas. You will provide early intervention and therapeutic support, working closely with young people and their families to create tailored, person-centred care plans.
You’ll be part of a team that embraces compassion, creativity and collaboration, delivering both individual and group based services in centre and via outreach.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct clinical assessments and collaboratively develop youth-directed care plans
• Deliver 1:1 counselling, psychoeducation, and skills-building sessions
• Provide inclusive, youth-friendly, and family-aware interventions
• Facilitate early intervention therapy and group programs
• Attend care coordination and case review meetings
• Maintain accurate, confidential participant records
• Keep up to date with current legislation and best practices
• Engage in professional development and clinical supervision
• Support a culture of continuous improvement and team wellbeing
• Maintain and manage a consistent caseload
• Demonstrate improved outcomes in young people’s wellbeing
• Collaborate effectively with young people and their families/supports
• Support participants’ pathways through headspace Emerald services

About You

• You are a motivated, empathetic, and qualified allied health professional, with a strong commitment to youth mental health and a collaborative approach to care.

Mandatory Qualifications & Experience

• Tertiary qualification in Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or Mental Health Nursing
• Full or provisional AHPRA registration, or ACA Level 1+ (with willingness to progress to Level 2/3)
• Willingness to work towards mental health accreditation (if applicable)
• Desirable - Postgraduate qualification in youth mental health
• Desirable - Experience in the not-for-profit or public sector
