Hobsons Bay Paediatrics is looking for a Medical Receptionist to join our welcoming team in a stunning purpose-built Paediatric Practice. We are searching for a caring and compassionate individual to be one of the faces of our clinic. To represent our values and to support our practitioners in their delivery of holistic, optimal care to our patients and their families.

We are looking for a casual employee with availability to work one to two days a week most weeks, with potential for more/permanent hours as our clinic expands. We are seeking applicants with a calm, reassuring, and helpful nature, who enjoy patient interaction and creating a positive experience for our patients at every encounter. Our current reception team embody excellence in everything they do and have great attention to detail and we are excited to add a new member to our team.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

· Greeting patients and visitors in a warm and friendly manner, always providing excellent customer service

· Answer phone calls, emails, schedule appointments, and manage patient enquiries and requests; all with a high standard of written and verbal communication

· Verify patient information, and process necessary paperwork accurately and efficiently

· Maintain electronic medical records and ensure confidentiality of patient information in compliance with privacy regulation.

· Ensure the practice and waiting areas are kept tidy and compliant with OH&S regulations

· Successful completion of opening and closing procedures

· Coordinate with clinical staff and providers to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient clinic operations.

· All aspects of patient billing, including processing payments and submitting claims to Medicare, and other third-parties as relevant

· Perform general administrative duties such as filing, scanning, and providing assistance to the team of Paediatric Specialists

· Stock management – ordering and restocking

Key attributes of a successful candidate:

· Experience in a medical clinic is preferred but not necessary - the key elements we are looking for is a motivated, hardworking, reliable individual with excellent communication skills.

· Experience with Xestro highly regarded

· Friendly and approachable demeanor with a strong commitment to patient satisfaction

· Reliable and dependable, with an excellent work ethic

· Integrity and professionalism in handling sensitive patient information with strict adherence to patient confidentiality and privacy policies

· Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

· Adaptability and willingness to learn new tasks and procedures

· Current CPR certificate (desirable)
