About the role

Bulleen Medical Centre is seeking an experienced and friendly Medical Receptionist to join our growing practice. This casual role will see you providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to our patients and clinical team.

Key Responsibilities:

Tasks included but not limited to:

• Greeting patients and visitors in a warm and professional manner
• Providing an efficient and responsive reception service, including booking appointments, answering phone calls, and managing patient enquiries
• Ensuring all administrative tasks are completed to a high standard
• Taking payments, processing and submitting Medicare claims
• Liaise with hospitals, pathology and radiology companies and other health care providers
• Supporting the medical team with various administrative duties as required
• Upholding the highest levels of confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive patient information

What we're looking for

• Previous experience as a medical receptionist
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with patients from diverse backgrounds
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in using medical practice management software and standard office equipment
• The ability to cover annual leave and sick leave
• Experience with Pracsoft admin program or similar
• Italian language would be an advantage, but not essential, as we have a high patient demographic of elderly, Italian speaking patients.
