About the role

We are seeking a full-time Forklift Operator / Laborer to join our team at Western Container Service in Strathfield South, NSW. This role is crucial in supporting our operations within the manufacturing, transport and logistics industry. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for loading and unloading shipping containers with skill and precision.

What you'll be doing

Safely operate forklift equipment to lift / move cargo to and from the Shipping Containers

Loading of Cargo on to and from trucks

Perform general laboring duties such as cleaning work areas and maintaining equipment

Assist with the coordination of container movements and inventory management

Comply with all workplace health and safety policies and procedures

What we're looking for

Previous experience as a Forklift Operator, preferably within a transport or logistics environment

Valid Forklift Licence and demonstrated competency in operating forklift equipment

Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Good communication and problem-solving skills
