The Specialist Outpatient Clinic Administration Officer will play a key role in supporting the smooth operation of our medical-led clinics. You will provide administrative support to our healthcare professionals and ensure that patients receive timely, efficient, and high-quality care, your responsibilities will include coordinating clinic schedules, handling patients' inquiries, managing documentation, and supporting the day-to-day administrative needs of the clinic. You will be working with clinicians and patients attending Orthopaedic, General Surgical, Cardiac, Endocrinology, Vascular, Rheumatology Clinics and more. You will require a flexibility and may need the ability to work across both Albury and Wodonga campuses as rostered.
Key Responsibilities:
· Managing clinic appointments and scheduling, ensuring efficient use of resources and time
· Provide front-line support for patients, answering queries, directing them to the appropriate services, and ensuring a welcoming environment
· Assist with the preparation of clinic documentation, reports, and correspondence as required
· Process patient referrals and follow up on necessary actions or communications
· Support healthcare professionals with administrative tasks
· Ensure compliance with hospital and clinic protocols
· Liaise with other hospital departments and external providers as needed to ensure seamless care coordination
Desirable Requirements:
· Strong organisational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
· A keen attention to detail and the ability to maintain patient confidentiality
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· A proactive and positive approach to problem solving
