Design & Build are recruiting on the behalf of an award winning commercial & residential construction company in Canberra. With a broad experience in almost all sectors in construction, from minor works to large scale, greenfield sites to technical occupied environments, renovations, refurbishment and all contract forms in between, this is a great opportunity to join a small but heavy hitting team in Canberra.

The Role
As a Contracts Administrator you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of construction projects from start to finish. You'll work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure all contractual obligations are met, timelines are maintained, and costs are controlled, supported by a Senior Contracts Administrator and Project Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and manage subcontractor and supplier contracts
• Assist in the tendering process, including procurement and scope review
• Monitor and control project budgets, progress claims, and variations
• Liaise with site teams and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution
• Track and report on project costs and timelines
• Ensure compliance with legal and company standards across all documentation

What We’re Looking For

• 2+ years experience in a similar Contracts Administrator role.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts (AS4000, AS2124, etc.)
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• High attention to detail and analytical mindset
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, MS Project, Hammertech and JobPac highly beneficial
• Experience working in a similar role in Australia.
