We are seeking suitable applications for a highly capable and values-driven Senior Social Worker to join our dynamic team at Butler Community Mental Health.

This is for a Fixed Term Part Time appointment at 30.4 hours per fortnight until 23 February 2026, with the possibility of extension(s).

What is our Senior Social Worker role?

This position is responsible for the provision of advanced social work services to adult consumers of the Butler Community Mental Health Service and functions as a case manager, undertaking clinical assessment of an allocated case load of consumers with a mental illness. The Senior Social Worker will contribute to the development and monitoring of social work practice, initiate quality improvement practices and implement changes and improvement for the mental health service. The Senior Social Worker is an expert social work resource and will provide consultancy and education for the multidisciplinary teams and other agencies and stakeholders.

The Mental Health Public Health Dental Services (MHPHDS) Community Adult Mental Health Stream provides evidence based, specialised mental health services supported by strategic planning. The service is committed to working alongside service providers, consumers and carer stakeholders, to promote optimal mental health for those referred to our service.

Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
