THE POSITION:
An exciting opportunity exists for motivated and highly experienced self-starter to join the multi-tasked Parking Enforcement branch within Council's Community Regulatory Services division.
As a Parking Enforcement Officer, you will be required to achieve Council's vision through community education and the equitable application of Council's policies and statuary obligations, obtaining compliance with parking regulations, littering laws, goods displayed on the footpath, and outdoor dining throughout Fairfield City.
The position reports matters affecting Councils risk management and public liability to Council, customers, and stakeholders. All Enforcement Officers are always to act with integrity, impartiality, and compassion in the provision of prompt quality service.
ABOUT YOU:
- Have great communication skills with proven ability to deal with conflict in sensitive situations.
- Foster quality customer service and able represent Council in a professional manner.
- Experience in using office-based software such as word processing programs, e-mail, and internet to assist with written communications for reporting.
- Hold a valid, Class C NSW Driving License.
- Experience in a similar regulatory role or issuing penalty notices would be highly regarded – however not essential.
WHAT WE OFFER
- Permanent full-time position, working hours 8am – 5pm Monday to Friday.
- Salary is a Grade 2 position starting at $62,201 p.a. (Entry level)
- Annual performance-based appraisal system to work towards $72,863 p.a.
- Employer contribution 11.5% superannuation.
- 20 days of annual leave and 15 days of sick leave per year.
- Access to long service leave after 5 years of continuous employment.
- Opportunity to participate in overtime (dependent on operational requirements and discretion of Management).
- Flexible working agreement – 1 day off every 3 weeks (Day off is flexible by choice however is dependent on operational requirements and discretion of Management)
- Full uniform and work-related mobile telephone are provided
