Our client, a leader in the transport industry, requires weekend/weekday drivers for interstate freight transport. The role runs from Friday to Sunday or Monday to Friday, including an overnight stay. This is a temp contract with the potential for a permanent position.

Description

Operate heavy vehicles safely for interstate transport.

Follow designated routes and schedules for timely deliveries.

Assist with loading/unloading and ensure compliance with load restraint regulations.

Maintain accurate logbooks, recording work/rest periods, mileage, and expenses.

Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections and report any issues.

Follow all road safety and compliance regulations.

Work collaboratively with transport managers and team members.

Profile

Valid MC license (HC considered) with a clean driving record.

Preferred experience with road trains and load restraint systems.

Strong time management and knowledge of traffic laws.

Familiarity with onboard reporting technology (tablet).

Proactive approach to vehicle safety and compliance.

Strong communication skills and teamwork ability.

Knowledge of NHVAS Mass, Maintenance, and Fatigue protocols.
