About the role
Lead a whole-of-territory approach to healthcare service delivery across the Northern Territory. As Chief Operating Officer of the NT Regional Health Service (NTRHS), you will provide strategic and operational leadership to deliver consistent, effective, and high-quality healthcare that positively impacts patient and community outcomes across all NT regions.
Lead operational transformation and drive improved performance and fiscal outcomes
Oversee compliance with the NTRHS Service Plan and alignment to strategic directives and legislation
Embed systems and frameworks that standardise and enhance service delivery across regions
Prioritise clinical services according to patient and community needs
Implement and embed key NT-wide healthcare reforms into operations
Maintain best-practice clinical governance and drive continuous service improvement
Build collaborative working relationships across NT Health and broader government
Model leadership behaviours and foster a high-performing, positive workplace culture
Act as delegate for the Chief Executive when required
Skills & Experience
Essential
Proven senior executive leadership in complex operational environments
In-depth knowledge of strategic healthcare priorities in the NT and nationally
Demonstrated success leading change and improving service delivery and financial performance
Strong leadership and ability to build high-performing, positive organisational cultures
High self-awareness, resilience and professionalism in the face of uncertainty
Outstanding communication skills and ability to influence and represent the agency at all levels
Ability to work effectively with people from diverse cultural backgrounds
Desirable
Recognised tertiary qualification in a relevant field
