About the role
Deliver high level clinical neuropsychology inpatient and outpatient services within a multidisciplinary treatment setting. Complex clinical duties are completed with a high degree of independence, and in accordance with organisational goals, the professional practice standards of the Psychology Board of Australia (PBA) and the Australian Psychological Society (APS) Code of Ethics. The position may be required to provide operational and/or professional supervision to less experienced psychologists as delegated by the Neuropsychology Team Leader, and Psychology Department Director. The position will function as part of a multidisciplinary team and may be subject to rotation across medical specialty areas.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Deliver high quality, evidence-based clinical neuropsychology services including complex neuropsychological and psychogeriatric assessments, diagnostic and treatment formulations, consultation for and assessments of decision-making capacity, preparation of psychological reports, as well as the design and implementation of evidence-based interventions.
- Communicate with health consumers, their caregivers, and other health workers in a respectful and courteous manner.
- Provide clinical practice supervision to less experienced psychologists and post graduate students on placement within the Department to ensure the maintenance of professional clinical standards within clinical health psychology and neuropsychology services within TPCH.
