The Senior HR Business Partner drives workforce strategies, supports managers, and promotes organizational success through HR solutions.
The Senior HR Business Partner plays a pivotal role in shaping a high-performing culture by collaborating closely with executives and managers to foster an effective, sustainable workforce. By aligning HR solutions with SALHN's strategic, operational, and performance goals, the role tackles workforce challenges across short, medium, and long-term horizons. Promoting HR best practices and adhering to SA Government people management principles, the Senior HR Business Partner ensures organizational success.
This role provides a highly responsive, customer-focused HR service within an account management structure, supporting managers in driving continuous improvement and accountability. By maintaining an in-depth understanding of workforce profiles, business strategies, and trends, with high level verbal and written communication skills, the Senior HR Business Partner delivers tailored advice and support. Additionally, they lead and mentor a HR Consultant, driving effective workforce strategies and interventions. Their proactive approach influences the evolution of HR practices, responding to emerging workforce issues and trends to ensure a high-performance workforce and organisational excellence.
About the role:
Duties for the role will include:
- Create a collaborative and responsive team culture while supporting HR Business Partners and Consultants to provide excellent service.
- Provide expert advice on complex HR matters, including conflict resolution, misconduct, underperformance, and change management.
- Support workforce planning, project management, and strategy development, contributing to the success of key HR initiatives and operational needs.
- Drive continuous improvement by developing policies, identifying risks, and recommending enhancements to HR procedures and practices.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of training programs to upskill HR teams and staff, ensuring compliance and addressing people management issues.
About you:
- Extensive experience advising senior management on HR matters, including legislative and policy interpretation and application.
- Proven expertise in developing, implementing, and evaluating HR policies, procedures, and strategies to improve practices.
- Strong background in generalist HR services, including performance management, investigations, and report writing.
- Effective interpersonal skills to build trust, collaborate, and establish productive relationships with stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and communicate complex issues clearly.
