The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Trade Assistant to work with our production team at our Sunshine West Branch (VIC) for an immediate start.

How You’ll Make a Difference

Working closely with the Production Team, your main responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Prepare hose assemblies from components accordance with customer timeframes

Descaling and passivating hose assemblies using barrel and pedestal grinders, pickling paste, and passivation liquid. (Both acid based)

Pressure testing hose assemblies using hydrostatic and pneumatic testing methods.

Painting of Mild steel fittings and flow arrows.

Drying and capping of hose assemblies.

Uploading and filling out certificates.

Operate various types of machinery and hand tools in a safe manner.

Complete training as required by the business.

Maintain a safe and clean work area.

About You

As the successful candidate, you will have:

Experience in a similar manufacturing/industry environment

Ability to work to a Schedule whilst producing quality products

Ability to work as part of team whilst ensuring individual goals are achieved

Intermediate PC skills

Time Management skills

Drivers Licence

A willingness to cross-train in other areas to support staff leave

Desirable:

Previous experience with hose, hose fittings, related products and assembly, hydraulic and industrial hoses would be highly regarded
