We’re seeking an experienced Senior Communications Advisor to lead strategic communications and community engagement for a major transport infrastructure project. This is a key opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping public perception, strengthening community trust, and guiding high-level communication efforts from planning through to delivery.

In this role, you will:

• Develop and deliver strategic communication and engagement plans aligned with project milestones.
• Lead meaningful community engagement initiatives, including public consultations.
• Create engaging, audience-focused content for media releases, digital channels, newsletters, and more.
• Provide strategic advice to senior leaders and manage crisis communication responses when needed.
• Liaise with government stakeholders, project teams, and contractors to ensure consistent, accurate communication.
• Monitor media coverage and community sentiment to proactively manage risks and opportunities.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to a high-performing, collaborative team culture.

What we’re looking for:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in communications and community engagement, ideally within infrastructure, construction, or government.
• IAP2 Certification (or willingness to obtain independently).
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building capability.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver in fast-paced environments.
• A degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or Marketing (desirable).
• A current C Class Driver’s Licence and knowledge of ISCA framework are a plus.
